ASCAL successfully concludes visits for the first accreditation of the three largest programs of the Medical University of Tirana

As part of the first accreditation of study programs offered by public HEI-s, as a key instrument for enhancing the quality of education in Albania, ASCAL is fully committed to the progress of this process.
Based on this commitment, during the first weeks of the year, ASCAL continued its work on external evaluation of the study programs of Msc (PI) General Medicine, Msc (PI) Pharmacy and Msc (PI) Dentistry, offered by the University of Medicine, Tirana (UMT). On 9-10, 16-17, 20-21 January 2020, external evaluation experts' visits to UMT were conducted according to the previously approved agenda. These visits were successfully conducted by External Evaluation Teams made up of international experts selected by UK universities such as University of Bristol, Newcastle University and King's College London as well as local experts assisted by ASCAL. During the external evaluation process, there was good cooperation with UMT, which responded to all ASCAL and assessment teams requests within the set deadlines.
