The Quality Assurance Agency in Higher Education (ASCAL) participated in the General Assembly of ENQA and in the 25th Anniversary events, held on 22–24 October 2025 in Brussels, Belgium.

The event brought together quality assurance agencies, policy-makers, and international partners to reflect on ENQA’s journey and to discuss future developments in quality assurance within the European Higher Education Area.

The program included a special session marking ENQA’s 25th anniversary at the Brussels Town Hall, followed by discussions on the role of the ESGs in a global context, the importance of quality assurance in the implementation of the Bologna Process, as well as the latest challenges and trends faced by European agencies.

Participants also took part in thematic sessions on:

• the involvement of stakeholders in external evaluation,

• the use of artificial intelligence in quality assurance processes, and

• recent developments regarding the revision of the ESGs.

ASCAL’s participation in this event represents an important step towards strengthening international cooperation, advancing its membership in ENQA, exchanging best practices, and further aligning with European quality assurance standards in pursuit of its strategic objectives.
